Raising Hare (children's Edition)

Raising Hare (Children’s Edition) by Chloe Dalton tells the true story of an unexpected winter rescue. Out walking in the countryside, Chloe finds a newborn hare, tiny enough to fit in her hand, chased by a dog and separated from its mother. She takes it home, learns how to feed and care for it, and slowly an extraordinary friendship forms. With its drumming paws and lively personality, the hare becomes part of Chloe’s daily life, right up until the moment it is ready to return to the wild. The story gently explores care, trust and letting go, with the lingering question of whether Chloe will ever see the hare again. Beautifully illustrated throughout by Denise Nestor, with an afterword by Michael Morpurgo.
