A Visit To Fairyland

A Visit to Fairyland by Shirley Barber is a classic illustrated children’s book that invites young readers into a richly detailed world just beyond the garden gate. With Barber’s distinctive artwork on every page, it’s the kind of picture book families return to again and again, lingering over the tiny surprises hidden in the scenes.

Laura and her little brother discover a small green door at the foot of the garden. Stepping through, they find themselves in Fairyland, where the ordinary rules of home fall away and wonder takes over. Their gentle adventure unfolds with warmth and curiosity, celebrating imagination, sibling companionship and the thrill of exploring somewhere new.

Perfect for lovers of fairies and enchanted gardens, this is a beautiful choice for bedtime reading, read-aloud sharing, or collectors of timeless Australian children’s books.

Step through the door and let A Visit to Fairyland find a place on your bookshelf.
