A week in a luxury villa in the south of France should be an easy kind of holiday: sun, swimming, long lunches, and three families who have known each other for years. For Kate, it is something else entirely. She is convinced her husband is having an affair, and she is determined to use the trip to finally get proof. The worst part is the suspicion that the other woman is close to home. Kate, Rowan, Jennifer and Izzy have been best friends for as long as they can remember, but under the stifling Mediterranean heat old loyalties start to crack. As Kate edges closer to the truth, she realises someone in the villa will do whatever it takes to keep a secret buried, even if it means someone does not make it home.
