Mouse Goes To The Mountains

Mouse Goes to the Mountains by Alice Melvin follows Mouse as he swaps the rush of a busy railway station for a quieter journey into the high country. With an autumnal feel, the story moves through changing habitats as Mouse climbs towards a remote mountain peak, meeting wildlife and woodland creatures along the way. Alice Melvin’s detailed illustrations invite slow looking, with interactive flaps and gatefolds that reveal hidden details in the landscape. Woven into the pictures is a gentle thread about biodiversity and care for the environment, including the impact of over-grazing and small acts of restoration. A nature guide at the back adds extra context, with facts about the habitats and animals Mouse encounters. Useful additional information Author: Alice Melvin
