Wolf Siren

Wolf Siren is a vivid, magical debut that reimagines Little Red Riding Hood with an empowered disabled character at its centre. Red has been warned all her life to stay out of the woods, a place whispered about for its strange magic and the wolves that move through the trees. But the woods are also where Red’s grandmother vanished three years ago, and Red cannot stop herself being drawn back to the boundary of the village and the secrets it holds. When a woodcutter fails to return and wolves are seen close to home, fear begins to split the community from the natural world around them. Red may be the only one who can help, but revealing what she knows could change everything for her family. Useful additional information Awards: Carnegie Medal for Writing 2026; UKLA Book Award
