Crime journalist Oakley Novak has made a name for herself uncovering Boston’s darkest stories. Xander Rhodes, the tech guy for the secretive Hemlock Society, has been watching her from the shadows, drawn in by her intelligence and nerve. When Oakley catches him spying, she doesn’t panic. She sizes him up, then tries to recruit him. Oakley is chasing revenge against the man who murdered her parents, and Xander agrees to help, even though it breaks the rules of his clandestine murder club.
